Easy chest freezer organising ideas!

Wondering how to get the most out of your chest freezer space?

Check out these fantastic (and easy) organising ideas to help you get your frozen food storage sorted.

CREATE CATEGORIES

Group your frozen food in categories such as ground meats, frozen veggies, homemade broth, and sauces etc. to quickly grab the items you need for one meal rather than having to search in different baskets or layers.

LESSEN RUMMAGING TIME

Put your “most grabbed items” on top and the less frequently grabbed items on the bottom to help save you rummaging throughout the freezer especially when you’re in a hurry.

FREEZE ITEMS FLAT

From pre-cooked meals, sauces to fresh produce, simply place each into a ziplock bag and make sure you freeze these items flat.

Once frozen, use the wire bins that come with the freezer and stack them upright with the name of the dish/food written at the top. This is space-saving at its best!

USE LABELS

Don’t forget – if you’re using ANY type of storage container or ziplock bag – make sure you label them all well. You won’t always be able to see what you’ve stored where, so having a label will make life even easier - and don’t forget to add the date.
